Mara's work is internationally recognised, she has won over 60 international awards at film festivals such as Academy Award ® Qualifying Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival, Hollywood Women's Film Institute & Festival, Best Shorts Competition, IndieFEST Film Awards etc. Her films were screened in several countries.
She has participated in multiple workshops and masterclasses where she learned to develop her craft and was trained by industry professionals. 

The docu-series project she is developing, Near Light, was selected and pitched at the MIA Market in Rome, in the Doc Forum. 

She is part of the jury at Hollywood Screenings Film Festival, Los Angeles CineFest and Los Angeles Television, Script and Film Festival.

Mara is actively involved in several projects and is developing multiple feature and short projects with her company.
